The MXBON® Retaining Compound Sealant Series is designed for assembling metal cylindrical components such as bearings, bushings, pins, hubs, and pulleys. It replaces costly methods like press-fitting and keyways with simpler, more efficient slip-fit solutions.

With 100% surface contact, it provides high torsional and shear strength, prevents loosening from vibration, and ensures excellent load transfer. By reducing machining precision requirements and minimizing press-fit stress, it protects components, extends service life, and lowers processing costs. Resistant to oils, fuels, chemicals, and harsh environments, it also offers sealing and rust prevention.

Usage

  • Clean Surfaces: For best performance, apply MXBON® Retaining Compounds on clean, oil-free surfaces. Use MXBON® cleaner and activator for optimal preparation and faster curing.

  • Passive Substrates: On less reactive metals such as stainless steel, an activator is recommended to ensure complete curing.

  • Plastic Components: Do not use MXBON® Retaining Compounds on plastic parts unless specifically tested, as many thermoplastics may crack when exposed to liquid anaerobic adhesives.
