The MXBON® Methoxy Ethyl Cyanoacrylate (MECA) Adhesive Series is a low-odor, low-blooming cyanoacrylate formulated with methoxy-ethyl monomers. Compared with conventional ethyl cyanoacrylate (ECA), the larger and heavier MECA monomers are less likely to disperse before curing, resulting in a significant reduction—or even elimination—of irritating odor and blooming.

By contrast, the smaller and lighter ECA monomers disperse more easily, causing a pungent odor and noticeable blooming.

Usage

  • Produced with advanced process technology, MXBON® MECA (Methoxy-Ethyl Cyanoacrylate) outperforms other brands’ low-blooming adhesives. In addition to its ultra-low odor and ultra-low blooming performance, it maintains the same curing speed, bonding strength, and physical properties as standard MXBON® adhesives.

    Cartell Chemical has further advanced methoxy-ethyl adhesive technology, introducing innovative and competitive products such as the market’s first black, toughened, ultra-low odor, ultra-low blooming adhesive — MXBON® 22480. Safer and more environmentally friendly, MXBON® MECA adhesives carry no GHS hazard symbols on their labels.
